Do any new Thinkpads have S-Video Out?

#1 Post by unstandable » Mon Jul 23, 2007 10:54 am

I have a T40 but it is dying, so I'm thinking about upgrading. However, I have read that the T61 does not have an s-video out, a feature that I find very useful on my T40 to allow me to hook it up to a TV to watch DVDs or downloaded video. Do any current Lenovo laptops have s-video outs?

R60/R61/i/e come with S-video.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.

Are you sure? The R61 datasheet lists a VGA Out but not an S-Video Out. And the reviews on CNet, PC World & ZDNet say it doesn't have an S-Video Out. I can't find a datasheet for the R60, nor does it seem R60s can be purchased through the Lenovo site.

The 15" models do include S-Video. See the tabook (as always) to confirm specific models:

X220 (4287-2W5, Windows 8 Pro) / X31 (2672-CXU, XP Pro) / X61s (7668-CTO, Windows 8 Pro)
