T60 Mouse move inaccurately,sometimes eratically

#1 Post by lautamas » Mon Jul 23, 2007 11:22 pm

Hello people,
I have a 5 months old T60.
My mouse cursor has been jumping here and there without any particular reason. I have tried to disable both the touchpad and the trackpoint...none of them fixes the problem.

It doesnt happen all the time. This only happens when I am crusing the mouse fastly over the screen. I know this doesnt happen on my old T40 since the cursor was so accurate on my T40. By the way, I am using the same IBM mouse on both computer (t40 and t60)..so, I dont see the mouse being the mistake here...

Anybody?

Try a different mousepad. I've seen some optical mice skip across the screen because the mousepad doesnt have anything on it that allows the optical eye to sense movemet.

I had same problem with T60 and Logitech Notebook optical mouse. Finally I found right mousepad. No jumps any more :D

So... try another mouse or again ANOTHER mousepad.
