#1 Post by ThinkPadWorld » Thu Jul 26, 2007 11:03 am

Does any one know if its possible to upgrade the processor on a T60 laptop to the new Intel Centrino Pro (Santa Rosa) processors that are found in the new T61/R61 Laptops?

It is not possible, newer processors connect to the motherboard via Socket P as contrary to the Socket M of the former models.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.
