T41 Expert Pricing Request and Advice

There's a T41 I have a chance to buy, but I have to make an offer. I'm trying to get more details, but I know precious little at this time.

I believe it will come with everything intact, and will need a new systemboard and a new keyboard. I know, precious little detail.

I'm guessing $200 for top-end to $100 for low-end would be a fair price to pay.

Opinions welcome.

Also, which system boards can I put in there? I'm guessing any T40/p-T42/p will fit, but what about T43/p?

If I recall correctly T43 boards will not fit. confirmation?

To the best of my belief, T43 board will not fit, either. Is there any way you can find out the model # for the machine, just in the respect of knowing whether the screen is XGA or SXGA+...at least that's the path I'd take...and it would have to be one of the SXGAs for me to consider paying anything over $125 for it, with the requirements as you've stated them : keyboard and mobo replacement..

I just swapped out a T43 base with T40 base and it fits perfectly. Perhaps not all T43 system boards are the same?
