scar on the LCD (R50p)

Hello !
I bought a ThinkPad R50p just 2 weeks ago. Great laptop, but now I' see a little gray scar on the LCD display (approximately 2mm), that is visible in white background. Is this covered under warranty, and will they replace or repair my laptop?

Great service. IBM replaced LCD with new. They are the Best ! I love IBM :)
