X61T MT/MV Screen Accuracy?

#1 Post by bosston » Wed Aug 01, 2007 6:43 pm

My tablet calibration is always inaccurate, once I calibrate it is somewhat better of course, but it only calibrates for the current input method and screen oprientation. For instance, If I calibrate for pen input then the touch cursor is far off. If I calibrate for touch then the pen is far off. The same is true for screen orientation. If I calibrate for landscape then portrait is far off and vice versa. Basically this means I have to calibrate all of the time. The pen input is also very far off at the edges of the screen whether I calibrate or not, this makes it very annoying trying to use the close button, start button, scroll bars, or anything at the edge of the screen. Is anyone else having this issue? Is this something I should call Lenovo about or do I just have to deal with it?

What version of Windows are you running? I haven't calibrated an XP system yet, but Vista has calibration for at least every way the screen's pointed, if not for pen vs. touch.
