Screen Locking Mechanism

Hi there!

I just got my brand new T61 (14"), which as a student I got for a quite fair price. My first notebook and therefore my first Thinkpad ever
Now my question to you other owners: When you close the display, there is a mechanism which locks and keeps the display closed. The slider who operates this is on the right side, but the "locks" (those small plastic nipples) are on both sides. Now it happens that the right side (where the slider is located) closes absolutely perfect, but the left one gives perhaps a mm of play. Is that normal or should I contact my dealer?
