R52 - tvtsched.exe process

#1 Post by wyjay » Fri Aug 03, 2007 1:12 am

I have an R52 model; I am monitoring the processes, which all seem clean, except for the tvtsched.exe process which has been holding all of the CPU usage after startup and I am having to end it to even work on the machine.
I do not if that is the main reason, but also the the start and shutdown times are getting increasingly long.
Any advice  ??

That is lenovo's ThinkVantage Scheduler. Check it's settings, I believe you probably have some maintenance tasks going on.

Secondly, about the slowness of startup and shutdown of your notebook, it would've been better if you mentioned your specs nevertheless please check out this thread for details.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.
