HELP! im debating on which display type

My point is, for a fixed pixel size, a 14" 4:3 screen has more pixels than a 14" 16:9 or 16:10 screen.

But for some reason, manufacturers tend to make widescreens with higher pixel densities than 4:3 screens. For instance, for 12.1" laptops, widescreens usually have 1280x800 whereas 4:3 screens usually have only 1024x768. For 15.4"/15.0" laptops, widescreens have up to 1920x1200, whereas 4:3 screens top out at 1600x1200; just compare the T61p with the 15.0" T60p. (Of course, QXGA exists, but it's extremely rare.)
