Warranty service from IBM

#1 Post by anneortim » Sun Oct 24, 2004 4:32 pm

Much has been written about the batteries in our ThinkPads going bad, so I won't rehash the problems. Needless to say, my battery is behaving "normally" . It was a brand new factory sealed IBM battery and was purchased less than a year ago. So now I would like to attempt to get a replacement from IBM before the warranty runs out. I've been all over IBM.com to find out how to get warranty service on the battery. So far, I haven't been able to find it. Anyone know where to go or have any other suggestions? TIA

Just give them a call, and they will send you a new one. Once you received the new battery, you probably need to send back the old one.
