I've never even seen a uxga on a 15", yet I still voted for QXGA

This forum seems to be filled with resolution freaks, I wonder why ?? In general people are happy with XGA, not here.

Me as well. I haven't seen one, but it would seem to make sense based on the 12" - XGA, 14" - SXGA+, 15" - UXGA progression. I would probably be satisfied with SXGA+ as well.

I agree, except for the last sentence :) I would very much prefer a UXGA for a 15" display.

I voted for UXGA. My UXGA equipped t42p is a nice piece and thanks to Lenovo's lack of screen options, will probably help my decision to keep this easier. Lenovo really needs to get on board and give us options for new TP's, especially the T6x series IMO

I went for QXGA, I've never seen one (have many?), neither have I seen an UXGA (only on 20 inches), but I am really one of those resolution freaks, thinking my SXGA+ being only bearable and planing to for QXGA.

BTW: If the link below is true, Lenovo wasnt the only one with a QXGA screen in a notebook http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie ... :IT&ih=019

I'm growing fond of the SXGA+ on my T42 - everything else now looks too big as I thought would happen  . I'll gladly try UXGA down the track, but for now SXGA+ is a fine balance of screen size and resolution.

I'm using a WSXGA+ right now...and it's pure heaven. I just LOVE the feature where I can place my browser on one side and my word processor on the other.

Perfect..just perfect (for me, anyway).

I've obviously voted for UXGA, since I can't really see myself using QXGA (although I'd like to have it for a few weeks to play with) and everything else seems just tooooooo big...after years of A31Ps and its successors, that is...

I would prefer one or another depending on the circumstances. When using a laptop only, higher seems to me as better (unless my eyes would start to degenerate). When working with for example a WSXGA+ 20" monitor connected to it, a resolution with a more similar ppi works more pleasant imo.

I voted SXGA+ as I'm using it with my widescreen 20" monitor.

Ditto. I just haven't gotten used to using a higher-res yet. This seems ideal so far.

Perhaps someone can start a separate poll for 15.4" widescreen laptops. My vote would go to "WUXGA".

Your vote would go to the highest resolution available for a particular size. ;)

Why don't you start the widescreen poll?
