Extended warranties, available or not?

#1 Post by DAH » Mon Aug 06, 2007 4:52 pm

Okay so I'm confused to say the least. I go to the IBM website and found this page, Warranty Service Upgrade (WSU) - Mobile Products, now IBM list a 2613 but only as a T60, not a T60p. It seems like there is no warranty available for it at all. :( If I am reading this list correctly, it would seem that many (most) T60 are not eligible for warranty service?
If you go, Lenovo Care and ThinkPlus Maintenance Services It appears on page 27 that a T60 2613 is eligible, but my computer is a T60p, not a T60. So who does one trust?

If I order through the web I can save about twenty dollars per year, on the life of the agreement. IBM refuses to meet their retailers price, on this but they are willing to come down about half way. Okay so I'm just not important enough for anyone to really care, or go out of their way for. I suppose that says a lot about the level of service I can expect.

When I originally order this computer it was with the understanding that it had a three year warranty that could be upgraded at any time. It was by just chance that I found out my warranty is about to end.
