How is the S-Video in for the A2x series laptops?

I've read in a post that the S-video in isn't so good for the A3x series laptops but what about for the A2X series? Does it have hardware MPEG2 encode? How is the capture performance on a Pentium 3? I have an AIW 128pro and I remember that Mpeg2 capture performance was quite decent and was wondering if it was comparable at all or if it was more along the lines of the AIW Pro of 1997/1998? Does ATI Multimedia Center (MMC) work with this at all? Third party drivers for this?
