What does it mean if the moon starts blinking while the Thinkpad is running fine? (Not going into or going out of standby, just running normally.) Is it perhaps related to too high CPU heat?
And speaking of too high CPU heat, when I'm running a 100% CPU intensive program NHC reports the CPU temperature reaches 81C. That seems a lot higher than other people report as "normal" temperatures - is it? The fan seems to be running normally.
(The reason I ask these two questions together is that I'm thinking they might be correlated - but I'm not sure.)
This is a T43p (2668H5U) - fairly up-to-date with BIOS and other software upgrades - running XP Pro.
Thanks! -- Dave
