Samsung Hybrid HDD-FlashON on T60/T61?

Does any one know more about this hard drive?

the oneNAND flash is only 256M. is it enough?

Not trying to be a smart alec here. But big enough for what? I believe the nature of what you are using your computer for, is very important to answer your question. Clearly Samsung believes it is big enough for some people.

My guess is if you use your computer for simply things, like word processing, and getting email it will be big enough. If you use it for big databases, or photography it is unlikely to be big enough.

I am asking if 256M flash is enough on Vista? coz I know 1G turbo memory is still not enough, so I am not sure if these two are the same?
the reason I am asking is because I hate my hard drive indexing all the time when I was on Vista business.
I am using CAD, photoshop on my laptop most time.

bigger anything wont make your system stop indexing. It wont stop till it's finished and you don't create anything new for it to index. Since that's not gonna happen it will always do some indexing.

What i think you're confusing is SuperFetch which loads up everything into RAM. The drives with NANDFlash on them aren't used for ReadyBoost but instead are ReadyDrive which keeps your data there like DLLS to boot the system and the like, it will allow the drive to spin down when it's not needed since the data is stored in the FLASH memory that you need. For CAD and all that stuff i doubt it would make a difference, just buy yourself some nice RAM to max your system and get a zippy normal HD and carry on from there.
