installing xp over vista

I just ordered my T61p with windows vista x64, however I am thinking of installing windows xp instead until vista gets its quircks worked out, will this void my warrenty?

The warranty is a hardware warranty. IBM stopped answering software questions even before they sold to Lenovo. To my knowledge, Lenovo has never answered software questions. Microsoft won't answer software questions either: "ask the manufacturer".

So I do not imagine that installing software that no one supports will void the warranty. ... JDH
