Fax Program

#1 Post by dssxxxx » Wed Aug 08, 2007 9:01 am

I have been using WinFax Pro for a couple years and all though I think it is the best program (non-supported) it is very buggy.

Anyone have a fax program to suggest? My phonebooks are about 1000 names and I use the "mass faxing" all the time. This is where the WinFax is screwing up. It keeps closing after about 20 faxes and I have to reboot.

Thanks for the suggestions.

umm what about the built in one? I have Server 2003 Enterprise as my fax system here at work (that i setup) because it was much easier than WinFax in a shared environment. In order to send a fax from another machine you'd have to send it then get up and go to the machine where it was installe don to actually send it. With the built in one i just have the modem in the server and the fax manager running and i can print to it just like you would normally a shared printer.

Now for your situation since you aren't using a server i'm assuming, you can just setup fax in Windows and use your Address Book feature to mass fax people.

I use http://www.faxtalk.com/. It receives faxes and emails them to me in pdf. It interfaces with Outlook and you can setup rules. You can download a trial and check it out...

Great advice.

I just downloaded FaxTalk and used it for a couple minutes and then purchased the program.

It is almost a duplicate of WinFax Pro.

I guess they jumped on the band wagon when WinFax discontinued it's support.

Thanks everyone.
