Re: Vista on T60 Type 2623-D6U
I have Vista installed on a spare 5400 rpm hard drive for my T60 and it runs pretty well with 2 gig of ram.smartegyptian wrote:Any1 is running Vista and happy with it? seems like XP is much fast i also upgraded the RAM to 2GB

I have turned off the extra visual effects on Vista like Aero Glass, etc, and use the Classic mode for the desktop. This gives me improved responsiveness.
If in doubt, simply buy some software and make an image of your XP machine so you can go back to it if Vista isn't to your liking, or buy a 2nd hard drive to run Vista. Plugging in is easy with the T60, especially if you have a spare caddy for the new drive.
