#1 Post by house kitten » Wed Aug 08, 2007 11:08 am

I am hoping to replace my CD-DVD Rom drive with a DVD-RW. Where is the best place to buy one??

I guess it will work, but the bezel wont match.

yeah it certainly will, it just wont match the look of the T4x shell because the one from the T6x series is FLAT while the older ones are CURVED. It wont make one bit of difference as you'll be able to burn and all that no problem, just some people are a pain about the fit and finish of their systems :)

Speaking of which, mind taking a picture and sharing it because i'm one of those mentioned above  :D

I've done that swap from a T60 to a T40, and physically it looks fine. And works like a charm. I strongly prefer the optical drives from the 60-series (super-multiburner) because they burn dvd faster and support dual-layer.
