Sort of depends what's in it at the moment. If still in the factory configuration (500Mhz/64MB/12GB/CD/WinNT), pristine shape and good battery w/AC adapter, maybe $80-$100? Fully loaded with 576MB, a bigger HD (60 or 80GB), a combo CDRW/DVD drive and possibly even WinXP, then you're probably looking at something around the $200 level.

(As he said looking at his .sig...)

Ah, I see you've updated your post with details... Oh, and this is in the opinion as a seller of such a system. Nevermind that I may not actually pay that much :) .

acctually i was looking as an opinion from a buyers view :) it seems the post office is paying for repair parts for my replacement laptop, so i bought a thinkpad 600x from ebay that needs a new LCD, i have a spare LCD :)

if they gave me cash they would have taken the laptop.

i just want to see what i could get for the 2 laptops so i might get ahold of a T2x series.

Okay, as a buyer of the systems that you have specified and assuming that the LCDs are in good to great shape, the disk drives are functional and an AC adapter is included, then:

500Mhz
6Gb
64Mb Ram
Battery that works for around 45 Minutes
CD-Rom

would be around $60-$65. A good battery would run about $30, Figure $25-$40 for each 256MB module and $30 for a 40GB drive. That adds up to $185 on the low side to $205 max, if those items are added.

500Mhz
12Gb
192Mb Ram
Like New Battery
CD-Rom

would be around $85-$90 simply because of the new battery. The 128MB module does not add much value (to me). Anybody think I'm off on these figures? Too low? Too high? Let's hear from other people with 600X systems!

Prices can vary so much it is hard to say. I bought a 600X off of ebay last week that is exactly configured like the second machine you listed. Only thing is that it did not come with an AC adapter, but it did come with a 802.11b PCMCIA card. I paid $56 plus shipping for it, and it works perfectly. Has a bit of keyboard wear but that is about it.

You might can get a bit more than what rkawakami mentioned, but they would have to be very clean to get it.
I lost count...
