T21 network adapter memory conflict

#1 Post by hekdic » Fri Aug 10, 2007 8:04 am

Device manager says that my network adapter conflicts with the motherboard for memory. I have updated the bios to the latest one and have reinstalled the drivers for the adapter. I can get it to clear but if I turn off the computer, it returns to the conflict setting. I can manually change the settings and clear it but the manual setting is reset to auto upon powerup. I'm using Win 98SE.

Any help would be appreciated.

hi,
the only problem you may have is the win'98 installation.
it's a well known thing that windows 98 isn't good at manageing resources.
if you have the posibility try to install windows 2000 with SP 4 at least or windowsXP, wich both are better at resource managment than any previous windows...

post your laptop type and its specs for further reference...

good luck!
