Measuring cpu/gpu temperature in Vista

#1 Post by rnsolo » Tue Aug 14, 2007 12:11 am

hi to all.

i just would like to ask what software you are using to measure the temperature of the cpu/gpu in windows vista (besides tpfancontrol).

I can't get mobile meter to run in vista.

Thanks in advance.

SpeedFan, Core temp, NHC.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.

Any program works in VISTA 64-bit that can display a variety of system temperatures like tpfancontrol does?

SpeedFan, Core temp can only read core temperature, and NHC doesn't support VSTA 64-bit yet.

tpfancontrol doesn't work with VISTA 64-bit due to incompatible WinIO.sys.
Core 2 Duo T7600, 3GB DDR2-667 RAM, Main 7K320 320GB 7200RPM + Ultrabay 320GB 5400RPM, ATI FireGL V5250, 15" IPS UXGA, DVDRW, Bluetooth, Atheros ABGN, NMB Keyboard, Fingerprint, Win7 Pro X86 + Vista 64-bit SP2, Advanced Dock.

The only program I've found that works under Vista-64 is Lavalys Everest. I combined it with the Everest Meter from HobbyLounge to put temperatures on my Vista Sidebar.

Speedfan runs under Vista-64, but the temperature readings are wrong.

This is my 1000th post!
