Replacing X31 System Board

#1 Post by gonzales » Tue Aug 14, 2007 2:26 am

Hi,

My 3 year old X31 is finally showing signs of aging. It's currently showing symptoms such as freezing whenever I move it by the slightest bit.

I am rather sure that it's a system board problem and not the hard disk since the problem persisted when I replaced the hard disk with another one.

Since it's out of warranty, getting the system board replaced at the service center is too expensive. I have been looking online for used X31 system board to replace the current one.

My current board is the 1.5ghz system board and I found one which is 1.4ghz. Are these boards interchangeable? Is it possible to place the 1.4ghz in my X31?

Yes, the system boards will be interchangeable as long as they are both for the X31.
