Anyone having T61 with Win XP and NO problems?

sorry, but reading all the feedback about T61 I have a bad feeling and hence a question: is there any happy T61 owner who has no issues with the unit whatsoever, especially I am interested with those who managed to install Win XP Pro and it works flawlessly with all the hardware and utility software on board?...

Or, in other words, what's a probability that once I buy mine unit, I won't come to this forum reporting another known issue like we can read around? As I understand far not all "happy users" report their successful experience with the model.

I went through the usual issues of removing Vista and installing XP (drivers, software, etc.), but I have had no problems whatsoever since. Using the "System Update" application updated all drivers and installed all my software without a hitch.

The only problem I had was with CSS8 and the embedded memory chip, probably a side-effect of setting it up in Vista then completely removing the OS altogether. There's a post I started a while ago that has addressed the issue, although I finally reached the conclusion that CSS8 isn't pointless.

I found your post, so, FP reader still does not work for you?... Does not sound good.
