Lenovo Expander Case and the T61 (pics!)

#1 Post by Redmumba » Wed Aug 15, 2007 4:56 pm

Just wanted to post some pictures of this brand new bag... I fell in love with it as soon as I unwrapped it and plopped my TP in it, and I felt like I just had to share it!

The case is small and compact (the expander option is great, if you need more space), while still being stylish and compact. The amount of padding around the laptop is superb... as an added bonus, since the laptop doesn't fill the entire space, the strap that holds it in ends up holding it up, so it never actually touches the edges of the case--which is great if I set it down roughly.

Anyways, not much to say... of special note, though... the little round "ball grips" are a great touch to match the Thinkpad logo! :)

(Note: I got this for free as the gift for Lenovo's initial T61 shipping delays)

Nice quality pictures! I have the Organizer model and really like it. I wanted to try something top loading this time.

Looks like you posted the same pic 3 times. I would like to see some of the other pics you may have, I have a T61 14 inch wide getting delivered soon, and I really need a case for it. Unfortunately Lenovo does not put many good pics on their site, so I opted for no case when I ordered.

My bad; I copied and pasted but only changed the text... pictures are correct now. :)

You can see how the T61 w/ the extended battery fits as well; rather nicely, I might add. Unfortunately, my pics are not that extensive, but if you'd like to see more of it, you need only say the word... ;)

Is that a 14" T61 in the expander case? I heard that 15" and larger TP's do not fit right in it.

Yes, it is the 14.1" widescreen model; I highly doubt you could smash a 15.4" widescreen model in there... although I saw posts saying that some people managed to do it with the T60 version.

That is a nice looking case, forgive the potentially stupid question, but where could I purchase one and what's the pricetag?
