Does anyone know of a really waterproof laptop bag?

I mean not just for dripping rain, something good enough to dunk in your tub (not that I plan to do that).. Is there one out there? I want it for travel, so I'd like it to be light but also hold a few documents.. I know it's asking for the best of all worlds, but look at the T series itself :P It's possible

Have you considered a large, sturdy, ziploc bag inside a regular bag?

Seriously!

Ziploc, eh? That's a good idea... I might just do that if I don't find a waterproof bag :)

Yeah, the only suggestion I have for really waterproof carriers would be the plastic suitcases you see for camera gear and other computer stuff to be used for shipping. But the idea of putting it inside of a watertight bag sounds like a good one, though I might use something a bit more industrial than a Ziploc, the general concept seems to be a good one.

I've got a Pelican 1490. It's a purpose-built laptop 'case': hard side w/ soft foam inside. It's definitely sturdy and waterproof, although not as light as a Ziploc . . .

I'd be careful with the Ziplock - they can generate very high Electrostatic fields.

Try to find one of the pink poly ESD safe bags instead - you can even get them with built in bubble wrap.

I use a Pelican case for my laptop when traveling. It takes a beating and really protects your laptop. It is also water tight.

waterproof bag

Go to an outdoor / kayak shop. They do normally have waterproof bags which are sturdy and actually really waterproof.
Just be careful that there is no moisture inside when you close it, and there usually is. So packing in some Silica Gel balls (the ones that suck up moisture) would ba a good idea as well.

But this is only if a PeliCase is too bulky for you...
