Looking for a nice clean T40 - T41 - T42 - T43. It's going to be a gift, and I have around $450.00 in the budget for the right machine. Forgot to say, it must be a 14".

If you're also willing to give an R50, I'd happily recommend underclocker's fine R50...it's (and he, I presume) practically begging for someone to take it for their own. You shouldn't have too much trouble finding a good spec T41 or even T42 for that price though. All the best.

I have a R50p and think it's a great machine but she wants a 14" screen. Tom

How about a T40? You can keep an eye on these auctions:

I have bought from this seller (2 T41s) before for my friends at UF and the machines I got were awesome.

I have a very nice condition T41 for $400 shipped. Unfortunately, my house just got broken in earlier and the thiefs decided to scoop up my camera on the way out. So no pics at the moment.

Here's the specs though:

Pentium M Centrino 1.6 ghz
14 in XGA TFT LCD
32MB ATI Radeon 7500 Video card
1024 Mb of Ram
40 GB hard drive
Multi burner Dvd drive
Intel Wireless built in
Modem(CDC)
UltraNav
Secure Chip
Brand new 6 Cell battery ( 3 hours of charge)
Ac charger
Window Xp Professional W/COA

That is very unfortunate. Is everything all right? Did you lose much? Hope things are ok ...

Ditto to what Sri said, coolname1...lucky they didn't take your T41 if you didn't have it with you at the time. But that looks like a fine option for Gripcon to take up.
