Help with R61i R&R

Hi everyone i think iam in lot of trouble. I put XP-PRO on my new laptop which had Vista Basic, without creating Recovery Disks thinking that when i press the Thinkvantage button it will automatically put it to the factory default as the image is still on the hidden partition. But when i press that THINKVANTAGE button it takes me to the option where i can recover but when i try to it says that the rescue and recovery has been removed. Now how can i go back to the factory settings or how can i make the recovery disk from that hidden partition.

Do you press the ThinkVantage button during startup?
