Thinkpad T20 dvd playing

help i cant get my computer to play DVD's !!!! i bought it used off ebay and i am running Windows 98, WMp9 wont show the DVD menu and Maximus dvd wont play either... how could i check the current region on my dvd player?

Try mediamatics DVDExpress player. Here's a link to the upgrade...I seem to recall there is a way to get the original installed. Use google and your imagination...;).

It's the Compaq version, but install it then go to http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... GV37K.html
and download the update. Then Install the update over the Compaq version.
