Were can I find an open item Notebook 4 sale on Lenovo.com?

#1 Post by johnvndnbrk » Sat Aug 18, 2007 6:45 pm

Hello:

I was wondering if anyone knows where Lenovo sells their notebooks that have been returned as opened items. I have come to learn that these notebooks cannot be sold as new, and would be interested in what the cost difference is? It would also be interesting to see the quantity and variety of such a lot. Are these sold under the "Buy Today, Ship Today" program or is this program for unopened returns? The Lenovo authorized dealer on eBay I believe are sold as new.

Thanks!

John

They're sold on ibm.com as IBM Certified Used Equipments.

With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."

I am not sure how they are selling some of the certified thinkpads. Why would I buy a used T5500 T60 for $1200 when I can get a brand new T7100 T61 for $1000?

their certified thinkpads are kind of expensive which are a little bit cheaper than brand new machines.

Are you sure about that? From what I've read, most of the laptops sold on that site have been heavily used. A few are even in beat up condition. The OP is asking about never-used Thinkpads.

I bought a T40 from there a couple of years ago that was in perfect condition and with most of its warranty intact.
