Hard Drive Partitioning: Recomendations Please!

#1 Post by dd » Wed Oct 27, 2004 10:57 pm

Hi

With 60 gig hard drive what would be suitable setup.

I will be dual booting XP and Linux. I guess I should have a FAT partition (FAT32?) so I can share docs between the 2 O.S.'s

How much should i leave for XP, Linux root home and swap?

Any help appreciated

Many thanks

XP - 15 GIG

FAT 10 GIG - for sap files btn the 2 o.s.

LINUX Root 15 Gig

Linux home 10 gig

Swap 1 gig

With a gig of physical memory I would keep the swap down to 256. otherwise it sounds good.
