TV-out 600E & 600X

#1 Post by PCWatchman » Mon Aug 20, 2007 5:50 pm

Hey all,

I've had a TV-out card that I had in a 600E. I went to put it in a 600X and find that it's got one screw hole too many, which gets in way of floppy drive jack. I can grind off the corner of the circuit board that had the extra screw hole, because there are no traces on it. It would then fit perfectly. It's very inviting.

This TV-out card is a 10L1192, and I see that 600X lists TV card as 10L1352.

So question is, is there any difference between 10L1192 and 10L1356 besides this corner removed on circuit board? If I chop this and install it, will it work, not damaging or interfering with mobo/bios? Thanks

OK, so as I'm waiting for reply, I figure I can grind off the corner, because even if I'm told this part won't work, it'll still install back in 600E.

However, I now realize that I would have to grind off a component on the very edge of the area that has to be removed. I'm wondering if that's the only diff between 10L1192 and 10L1352 - that component. Like I said, this whole mod is inviting. Even the component looks like it gets included on 1192. but not on 1352. ??? Thanks
