A31 machine exception error ???

Just got the laptop..
It kept freezing with no response from mouse or keyboard.
after replacing the cpu and trying six different sticks of memory i now get a blue screen of death with a "machine exception error"
after googling for hours i can find no definative answer..
has anybody else had this and found a solution ??
anybody with suggestions ??
