Creating Recovery Disks - freezes = failure

#1 Post by jamess » Wed Aug 22, 2007 3:27 am

I've tried making recovery disks, but task doesn't complete. First I insert normal CD-R and I label it Start Recovery Disk. I then insert the 2nd disk, that is DVD+R. And it then freezes. Even if I cancel, nothing happens. Any ideas?

PS: I have disabled UAC in Vista but that doesn't make any difference.

This may because of your burner and DVD compatibility issue. Last time it took me more than 10 DVD before it successed. Everytime, it freeze in the middle. Try again.

There are supposed to be only 2 discs right?

First one (start disk) = CD-R
Second = DVD

Yes, there are 2 disc only. The 1st one can be a CD-R, the 2nd one is a DVD. Pls note DVD-RAM is not supported.

AFAIK, you can use all CD/R's (about 7 of them). At least this was true with the T4x series recovery discs.
