I just upgraded the hd in my wife's T40p by doing a fresh install of Win XP. I've finished downloading all the windows and ibm updates. Everything is working nicely, except for her internal wireless card. Windows can see it, but it shows up under device manager with the yellow "?" on it. It says it's not digitally signed, and can't seem to find the driver for it. I've tried uninstalling it, rebooting, etc.
The card is not original to the machine - it's a Phillips 802.11b/g or a/b/g. I believe the Phillips cards are based on an Atheros chipset. I do not know the exact model of the card - if I can't get Windows to recognize it, I suppose I'll have to pull it and try to find the correct driver once I have the part and model numbers.
Any suggestions? How can I force windows to recognize this card?
