about to reformat my T42

#1 Post by DeionDavid » Wed Aug 22, 2007 6:13 pm

Hey guys, when you all first got your thinkpad, did you do a clean format of the hard drive to get rid of all the programs you did not want?

Is there a guide to this? Anything I should lookout for?

Thanks

Does it have a recovery partition? If yes, just hold down F11 on boot and follow the prompts to restore the factory build. It's that easy ...

I always get the hard drive out to use a better one. So, I do a clean install with any bloatware. I never see a guide, I download all the drivers from lenovo website.

Before you remove the partitions will you not make a set of recovery disks for yourself ? Or have you already got them ?
