After setting LCD brightness to 8/15 in Power Manager and reboot, the LCD always goes back to brightness 15/15. Anyone has similar problem?
T61 4:3 14.1" with Intel graphics
OS: Fresh install Windows XP SP2 32 bit x86
BIOS: 1.14
Video driver: Lenovo v6.14.10.4785 (May 18, 2007)
Power Manager: v1.16
Power Management driver: v1.43
T61 LCD not remembering brightness setting
I have the exact same problem with a 15.4" T61.
No matter how I set the brightness it always defaults to maximum when returning from hibernation or even turning on the screen again.
EDIT:
This seems to be a feature of Vista:
Control Panel > Power Options
Click the "Adjust the display brightness" link on the left side panel.
This is the brightness that is used when starting up, resuming from sleep or hibernate.
