t61p 14" with 4 cell battery??

Righ now I have a 9 Cell Battery sticking out of my t61p.
Its big and its heavy! Is it possible to buy one of these 4cell batteries
for the t60s or the 4:3 14" t61 and stick them into my t61p?

I don't need much battery live usually anyway I'm more then happy with 1 to 2 hours...

You can buy a 6 cell that does not stick out.

The 4 cells are only for 14 inch widescreen T61s

So the regular 6 cell for the small 14inch 4:3 t61p does not stick out!?

ok here:

T6x 14.1/15.4" Widescreen
4 Cell is Flush, doesn't stick out.
6/7 Cell sticks out

T6x 14.1/15" Standard
6 Cell is flush, doesn't stick out
9 cell sticks out.

Those are the only options you have. As far as i know tho the T61 uses a different battery or am i on drugs with that one?

15.4" and 14" 4:3 T61 models have two batteries, a 9 cell that sticks out, and a 6 cell that fits flush.

14" widescreens have 3 batteries, 6 and 7 cell batteries stick out, the 4 cell is flush.

So I guess I have to order a 6 cell battery from lenovo!
Are there any know rebates or ecoupons?
180 bucks is pretty expensive...

Get the exact part number and go enter it on www.froogle.com, there are many places that stock Lenovo batteries. Just keep an eye out for less known shops that list the batteries as "replaces Lenovo XYZ12345", they are selling generics.
