T61 battery life

I just got a T61 14 inch with a 7-cell battery but I'm only getting about 2 hours of battery life. The scheme is on maximize battery life and the screen brightness is toward the bottom not running a dvd anything. I have the nvidia card so that takes a bit more juice but two hours? Is it Vista owning my resources to make things look pretty?

What kind of battery life are others getting?

I get about the same battery life.
goto Power options --> Power Manager --> battery information and in battery details look for your current wattage. mine is about 21 W on somehow balanced powerplan, and I'm doing nothing but writing this post.
by the way I have got 1GB of ram which might cause some paging and harddisk activity. include you ram size, too.

I get 4+ hours on a 4:3 T61 (intel graphics) with a 6 cell battery browsing internet and brightness at 8/15.

3:30 on T61p with Nvidia card. but that was without WiFI , and screen dimm , on a 6 Cells
