t23 vanishing pointer

i've just joined and hope you can help.
i'm having problems with a vanishing pointer. its fine when i surf the net.the problem is when i play a game the pointer vanishes or has a block around it. the game play is fine its just the pointer. also every so oftern the mouse stops working i've tried changing the mouse same thing happens.i use the ibm mouse with light on it so i know when the power goes down.when the mouse doesn't work i unplug it from the usb and plug it back in it then says it doesn't reconize the mouse..any help would be grateful

Can you be specific about what program(s) this happens? It sounds like it's more of a software design (bug?) which causes the pointer to not be re-drawn or disabled.

P.S. I assume that by your name and .sig that we are not related; merely you ride a two-wheeled mode of transport .

the main game i try and play is kalonline..(kalonline.com) my t23 is running 512 memory.it did play great on my x31.

Then that sounds like a video driver issue. Some people have downloaded an alternative driver for the T23:

i have checked the video driver and its the latest one.when the mouse stops working it claims its an unknown device and doesn't reconize it even tho 30 seconds before it did

i think i might have just found the problem..anything i plug into the usb port now comes up with "unknown device"
