T30 schematics

#1 Post by truk » Fri Aug 24, 2007 2:51 am

I can't get the schematics on the T30, and I need to replace a component. There is a small component just off the eeprom's vcc pin. (the top right pin when the speakers are facing up) I have no idea what it is, but I might be able to replace it if I could figure it out.

I understand the difficulties, but I have a supplier who should be able to get whatever it is and a way to solder it in. If anyone knows what this is, or, even better, has a value for this please let me know. I imagine I'm gonna get stuck sending this in with some other motherboards to have it fixed, but it would be a lot cheaper to do it myself.

EDIT: I said scc instead of vcc, this uses a 8-pin Amtel chip, and I was just notified that there is an issue with talking about the bios passwords (as there should be.) I am not looking into the BIOS itself, but a component near it. It is entirely missing and I would like to replace it, not modify it.

THANKS
