Hey, I don't have time to fully describe this one right now other than to tell you it's a 20078JU which, if you check it out, is the best of the best (2.33GHz Core 2 Duo, etc.). It's in great condition and under warranty until February of 2010 which includes onsite service and accident protection too! I hope to have the time to write it up here tonight, but in the meantime I just wanted y'all to know it's available in case someone here is in the market for this level of machine. My local high-schooler's can't afford it! Please E-MAIL me if interested in the meantime. I'm off to several doctor's appointments now and I apologise for this "tease" but I have to run!

I fully intended to update my original post with full details a buyer could base an offer on, but first my internet went down for almost 2 days, and then a potential buyer contacted me during that outage so I want to give him some time to respond to my e-mail. I believe it will be sold soon as I priced it for a super quick sale, but if not I will come back here tonight and fill in all the holes. Believe me, if you get an opportunity at this it will be worth the wait!

Thanks for your patience.

brainpicker,

Good teaser.

You posted a FS with no price. Then while your internet access is down, you were contacted (via email?) supposedly with a deal pending now while you "priced it for a super quick sale"?

Really, that's a great machine and I would be really interested at the right price. I HATE THE WIDE SCREEN and the 15" model gets a little too heavy for me.

[EDITED as I confuesd some details in my initial response]

What started out as a tease because I had no time to post all the details got out of hand! First of all, I did not intend for things to go like this, and everything I said was true. Here is what happened so as to protect my reputation for those who may feel I did something underhanded:

As all can see I placed a DETAILED for sale post Friday morning for the PITA who asked me to sell her T60. I needed to leave for several doctor's appointments so I quickly placed a teaser for the T60p as I wanted it the hell out of here too. It was something I had to buy to get access to other things I needed for the kids I refurbish for and I just wanted to break even on it and get my money back fast. Immediately after placing the teaser a forum member e-mailed me wanting to buy the T60p (I mean not even 5 minutes later!). It was a name I noticed and he has a good rep. so I gave hime a quick response with details he needed to know. Then I left. I really DID intend to place a proper post when I returned home from work at 11PM Saturday but my internet was down. I worked Sunday too and when I returned I still could not get on the net. This morning at 9:30AM EDT I was able to get on the internet. There were 3 e-mails from this potential buyer stating that he wanted to buy it for $xxxx if I could satisfy some more information. I e-mailed back, then came here right away to place the latest info on both the T60 and T60p posts. The T60 sold to the highest offer as of last night even though I could not take or respond to others who may have bid higher. As for the T60p, the potential buyer is going to follow through and send payment today so there is no reason to make a detailed post here.

I hope that clears things up for you. I know that sometimes I liven things up around here and sell via unconventional ways, but it was not intentional this time. People familiar with me here know I don't sell junk, I sell the high-end stuff cheaper than it can be bought anywhere else (mainly because I'm usually forced to buy it in the first place and I just want to unload it), and I stand behind what I sell, so this T60p buyer was smart and e-mailed me using just the basic info I placed in the for sale post above. He did get a fantastic laptop at a very fair price (which I won't reveal here), and if he didn't follow through I fully intended to give everyone the same chance. But when a sale came so easily I didn't have to!

If anyone else has a question feel free to contact me via e-mail.

As of now we can say this T60p is sold pending receipt of payment.
