LF: a white list wireless card for R32

#1 Post by synchromesh » Mon Aug 27, 2007 10:50 am

I have an R32 and recently found out that no1802 doesn't work on it by trying it. Therefore, I need a card from the Thinkpad white list which will work fine without any hacks.

I have 3 mini PCI wireless cards any one of which I can trade for this (1 HP, 1 Philips, 1 Intel, all at least b/g I believe). Or I can give you cash/paypal. I also have some laptop RAM if you are interested but nothing very rare.

Let me know what you have and how much you would like. I prefer something fairly inexpensive, will consider even b only cards as long as it works on R32 with no mods.

Wow!

If there ever was a problematic ThinkPad regarding wi-fi issues, R32 is the one. But you definitely know that by now...

I don't have a card to sell/trade, but a while ago when I had one of these the only card that I was able to get it to work with was Cisco B card, I believe it's aironet 350, that came with some T30/X30/X31 machines...but given what I've been told, even the fact that I was able to use it is not neccessarily a receipt for success in your case...

If you don't find a solution to your problem (and I mean a definite one) I do have a couple of cards sitting, I can mail them to you for testing purposes...at least you'll know whether these will work or not, and they are genuine IBM pieces...

Good luck because God knows you'll need it...

Unfortunately he doesn't have any more of these left. What model was it exactly?

It was an IBM Atheros b/g card. These are pretty common.
