Delayed Startup WinXPP

#1 Post by kamikrazy » Fri Oct 29, 2004 8:12 am

I have a T42 running Windows XPPro. Everytime I start my computer up it hangs right after starting up the UltraNav program. After that it stalls for about 30 seconds with no processor activity and then goes on to load my antivirus software, networking software, etc. Is there a solution to get rid of the 30 second stalling time? Thanks.

is your wireless zero config disabled? if so, enable it.

Turn on wireless zero configuration in services even if you are using access connection.

If I enable wireless zero config won't it constantly break the wireless connection (at least that's what happened when I had it enabled). Is there a way around that besides turning it back off when the system is loaded?

I experience this stall after login after installing SP2; it stays in the login-screen for 2-3 minutes, then windows appears. There is no activity in this period, at least none that can be detected with Microsoft Bootvis.

I resignated and hope that one day by accident I install a new driver that solves the problem, because I really have no idea what could be the cause...

lvlolvlo, can you tell me more about the domain thing (how you check this)?
