How long will the new 4400ma last on T40?

#1 Post by drnoom » Wed Aug 29, 2007 5:44 pm

I got the new replacement battery for my T40 and it can last for 2.30Hrs.

And Power meter shows about 4Hrs but actually, i can only use for about 2.30Hrs.

when meter gauge shows 40%, it'll shows low battery and going to shutdown.

is it normal?

best regards.

i'd say that's very weird, normally it would need to be reconditioned but since it's anew battery that i can't explain. Maybe just set the system to "do nothing" when it reaches those low levels and keep using it till it actually shuts off. That'll probably recalibrate the sensors in the laptop, maybe it's used to your old battery or something.

Have you tried selecting the "Disable Shut-Off Timers" option in Battery MaxiMiser?

You have to "condition" new batteries as most of them have been sitting on the shelf for a year or more! Same procedure as "reconditioning" an old battery.
