Fingerprint scanner disconnects after sleep.

#1 Post by t60newb » Fri Aug 31, 2007 3:20 am

Hi,

If I put my t60 into sleep, when it wakes it says that the fingerprint scanner is disconnected. I have the CSS disabled but the fingerprint software installed and it works when I power on.

Any clues to what i can do to fix it?

Paul.

Sir, I am not sure if it's going to fix it or not but try this:

Start > Right Click on My Computer then Properties > Device Manager > Biometric- explore it > Right Click on TouchChip Fingerprint Coprocessor then properties > Power Management > Uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power > Click OK.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.

Hi,

Many thanks for the suggestion, I have just followed your guide and will let you know how it goes.

Thanks again, Paul.

EDIT: That seems to have done it. Thanks you.
