T42p rebooting, please help.

Someone must know what is causing my laptop (T42p with minidock) to reboot after shutdown. The only thing I can figure out is maybe another program is running and its not allowing it to shutdown because of this?? Even if I take it out of the dock, it still does it, anyone else had this problem, I called IBM and they updated my BIOS but that didnt help. I have found that they are quick to tell you what to do, then they get you off the phone and dont want to walk you through anything.
