New update, I had to go through all of the stuff to make sure of everything, changed a few things.

It is laptop ram, it was in a T60 I had right before I sold it.

The hard drive is not actually hitachi, it's western digital. Very sorry!!

According to the Lenovo website DDR2 memory should work in your X41. The memory will underclock.

So the answer from what I can tell is yes.

I know of at least the SD1000 being looked at long and hard, and I think someone may jump on it eventually, so that will stay open for him after september.
