system restore question
system restore question
Hi,
I recently got a new hard disk and ultra bay adapter. I now want to swap my old disk with the new one and restore the system to factory settings (my windows installation in my original disk has more or less crapped out with a bad set of drivers -- i.e not worth cloning or transferring over).
I'm not sure how to restore to my new disk while my thinkvantage is sitting on my old disk. I swapped the drives (put the old disk in ultrabay and new disk in main drive) and managed to access thinkvantage. However, I'm not sure which drive will be effected when restoring my computer factory settings. Can anyone help me out ?
Oh. I have t60-(2613-EAU).

Hi,
Fortunately I had made the cd's but had forgotten about them. I restored the new disk but had another question.
It's gonna take me about a week to get a workable installation (software, settings, firewall etc).
I want to be able switch between my old hard disk(7K100 60gb) and my new one(7k200 100gb) during this period.
I put the 7k100 (old) in the ultrabay. However I cannot seem to disable the 7k200 from the bios. I would prefer to not have both enabled at the same time. Windows does not boot well if its drive is set as d:.
Is there a better way to do this ?
