Which video port do you want on T6x?

I am shopping for a laptop. Thinkpad T61 meets most of the specs on my list, the one thing I don't like is the lack of a DVI-I port on the laptop. Almost all monitors sold now are LCDs, and most of them come with a DVI plug. Why does Lenovo still keep the 20 year old DB-15 port on the thinkpads? Apple and Dell have already added DVI-I port on their laptops.

I know the DVI port is available on the advanced docks, but I prefer a DVI-I port on the laptop itself, so I can plugin any monitor or projector whether it has a DVI-D or VGA plug.

Voice your opinions. If enough of us speak out, maybe Lenovo will put the DVI-I port on thinkpads sooner.

While I am at it, I think Lenovo should drop the modem port too, and turn that into a USB add-on, which is what they did to the floppy drive. Does Lenovo seriously believe that most of us are still using a 14.4 baud modem to get online?

Please remove the modem port to reduce weight, cost, and space. Give us an eSATA, HDMI, or some other modern ports that we will actually use.

while we're at it, let's change the T61p's 4-pin firewire 400 port into a powered 9-pin 800 port instead since they're adaptable to 6-pin and 4-pin.   leave the 4-pin connectors on the small peripherals where they belong.

i haven't used dial-up in at least four years.   a USB modem is fine by me.   instead use the space for a proper firewire port or a fourth USB port.

Having both VGA and DVI would be nice. Adapters are easy to misplace.
